Whyte & Brown: Free Range Chicken

Half Term happenings for the kids

Back to Blog

KidsWondering what you can possibly do to entertain the little ones for an entire week! Fear not, we’ve looked into it and come up with some great ideas for you:

Sensational Butterflies – the Natural History Museum

A mesmerising tropical butterfly house has now been put up on the museum lawn. With reasonable prices and all-day opening hours it’s great for both you and the kids. They can even watch butterflies breaking free of their chrysalises through the hatchery window!

Baby Disco – London Wonderground

London Wonderground is a fantastic and quirky venue on the Southbank. It’s for under 5s only and babies under 6 months get in free with a paying adult (£8). Dancing, laughing and messing around to retro, pop and nursery tracks for a full 50 minutes is sure to wear your tricksy toddler right out!

Hedgehog Heroes – Hyde Park

Held in the Isis Education Centre Hedgehog Heroes is operating on a drop in basis (11am – 3pm) and is on for one day only (28th May). Kids will get to create their own hedgehogs from paper plates, make a clay model hedgehog, follow the Discovery Trail, learn lots of great hedgehog facts, learn how to help them in your garden and lots more besides.

Soft play – The Old Sorting Office Arts Centre

Who doesn’t love a good soft play session? The OSO’s soft play studio is open for most of the week and is a fantastic way to let the children have a good run around on a rainy day. The OSO also offers the occasional children’s classes.

The good news is that this is London and there’s always lots to do and half term is no exception! There’s many more events and bits and bobs on during May half term – we recommend you look at the Visit London and London Town websites for some inspiration.
